1995-96 Phonebook Search

I have a residential and commercial phonebook from the metro area and will gladly do a lookup for you.

Just send me an e-mail with the surnames or names that you want me to check for you. In turn, I will scan and send to you via email whatever I find. Let's keep the resquest to a maximum of 5 request per person so that I can service others.

Digitalization of Documents
- This trend continues to grow and for the internet researcher is heaven sent as great part of what has been done, can now be found on the web. Here are some of what I have come across:

Puerto Rican Civil Court Documents Collection, 1840s to 1890s - Cases from the towns of Arecibo, Barceloneta, Camuy, Ciales, Hatillo, Manati, Morovis, Quebradillas, and Utuado.

IMPORTANT!
------o-------
We are not an investigative service - we merely supply information so you can do your own genealogical research. We regret that we cannot answer queries about specific surnames.

   SFOR Terms and Conditions

Searching For Our Roots has been publishing unique information and offering innovative services since 1999.

The purpose of this site is to share with you family and genealogical information available to us. The information found on this site is primarily from Puerto Rico. However, many other nationalities can be found through out the site. We hope that you find information here that fills in some blanks in your research.

This site offers a selection of both free and for members databases (clearly marked with a red key or red dollar sign $). How much does it cost to join? Pennies a day but we do NOT encourage people to subscribe without first reading our Terms and Conditions and visiting the Sitemap for a partial listing of what's available. Then, you can make a wiser decision.

This is an evolving project and new material is being added on a constant basis. Please do not be offended if the topic you are looking for is not here. It does not mean that it has been overlooked, it just means that I have not gotten that far yet. So if you don't find what you are looking for today, be sure and drop by again soon.

This site is funded by membership fees only and is an advertisement-free zone! No pop-ups, no spam.

The Searching For Our Roots last fee increase — to $18 from $15 — was in 2011, and although since then, we had taken steps to control and reduce costs, the costs have continued to rise faster than projected. It is because of this that we have no choice but to increase the annual dues this coming year.

We will increase our annual dues to $20 from $18, beginning Jan. 1, 2014. That is just $1.60 a month and  STILL  5 cents per day,

I take this opportunity to also remind you that these annual fees are use solely to support all the services that we presently have on the site as my work continues to be .

We thank you for reading this message, hope you understand our position and continue to support our efforts.
